Bell Rebeiro-Addy, the Member of Parliament for Streatham, is the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group-Afrikan Reparations (APPG-AR), which aims to promote parliamentary and public understanding of the issues of reparations and restitution. It undertakes research, holds hearings and public meeting in order to influence policy.
AFFORD acts as co-secretariat for APPG-AR, supporting the Chair with areas that concern the restitution of human remains and looted cultural artefacts, especially advocating for the four pathways for restitution and 22 recommendations identified in the 2020 AFFORD publishes guiding documents in Return of the Icons campaign – African Foundation for Development (AFFORD) (afford-uk.org)
