As the co-secretariat for the APPG of Afrikan Reparations, AFFORD is supporting the APPG inaugural reparations conference, bringing campaigners from around the world together to chart a pathway to reparative justice.
The conference will be free to attend, and its official co-chairs are the Rt. Hon. Diane Abbott MP and Dr Julius Garvey, academic, activist, & son of The Right Excellent Marcus Garvey.
It will feature sessions on a range of issues connected with reparative justice: from the legacies of slavery to the restitution of artefacts, racial justice, education, employment, environmental justice, economics, law, culture, and more.
Speakers will include international government representatives, national & international dignitaries, Independent UN experts, campaigners, academics, MPs, legal experts and youth voices.
