The Clinics are an opportunity to have a one-to-one consultation with a specialist lawyer in your area of work, who will provide pro-bono advice and guidance on any legal concerns or queries you may have. This could cover a range of topic areas including contracts, employment, tax, IP and business structure. According to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) late payments, over 30 days, cost the UK economy over £2.5 billion every year and result in over 50,000 businesses going under. Freelancers make up over 15% of the UK workforce and the impact of late payments means entrepreneurs are at regular at risk of losing their homes, their relationships and struggling with their mental health. Sometimes, although unhelpful, the reason for a late payment is understandable, a late payment in the chain impacts everyone waiting to be paid further down the line.
