Young Diaspora Entrepreneurs investing Africas Future
The research explores the dreams and aspirations of young people of African origin in the diaspora in relation to Africa’s development. It explores the vision of the African Union (AU), the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and the Conference for Security, Stability, Development and Cooperation in Africa (CSSDCA), the current leading pan-African structures, as well as the mechanisms within these structures for engaging the African diaspora. It identifies the synergies between their own dreams and that of the AU, NEPAD and CSSDCA, and makes recommendations on how young people can be more effectively engaged in Africa’s development through the AU and its associated programmes and through other actors including African diaspora organisations, African governments, African families in the diaspora and young Africans in the diaspora (YAD).
